Thanks to Diane K. and Debbie G. for these photos!
| Diane wrote: "We had a great time camping at Sea Camp on Cumberland Island. The predicted rain for Saturday showed mercy and didn't come down until about 2:30 so we were able to set up camp in dry weather. The other days were crisp and sunny and we had some great hikes on the beach, to Plum Orchard, and Dungeness as well as some good food and conversation around the campfire. We rented bikes and explored the northern part of the island at Plum Orchard. The ranger led talk at Dungeness was enjoyable. We saw abundant wildlife including deer, armadillos, dolphins, turkeys, and of course, the beautiful horses. There was evidence of racoons when we woke up and had some turkey and cheese stolen out of a cooler. There is always a good time to be had on Cumberland and I can't wait to go again!" |
